White Paper GDPR – action strategy

26 October 2017
In May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force – without exception. Is your business ready for it?

Our white paper on the GDPR will help ease the uncomfortable feeling brought about by the rather difficult “Where-should-I-start” question. It outlines the main points of the GDPR and the first steps towards compliance with the new directives. One thing is clear: implementing the GDPR is no easy feat. Nevertheless – or rather precisely for this reason, businesses should start implementing measures laid out in the Regulation as soon as possible. There is a lot to do!

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR; in German: DSGVO / Datenschutz-Grundverordnung) will come into force on 25th May 2018 and will replace the EU Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and all data protection legislation in EU member states (including the Federal Data Protection Act, “Bundesdatenschutzgesetz” in Germany). It will introduce a number of key changes to data protection laws that will have a major impact on all entities that control or process the personal data of EU data subjects. The first steps would be to get to know the new legal framework and to find out how each aspect of the GDPR applies to your business. Read our white paper to gain insight into the key provisions of the GDPR.

Implementing the GDPR

What would a check of the personal data currently held by your business and of the procedures to process them reveal? Do you know where your business stores personal data? In what systems, Excel files and Access databases, in what marketing tools? Are they held centrally or locally? What kind of personal data is stored and where? Are they up-to-date? Who has access to the data? Etc.

Our white paper will help you identify and take the first steps to implement the measures that need to be put into place to ensure that your company is GDPR compliant. Develop an action plan with parsionate and split your task into smaller, manageable sub-projects.
